In addition to your lessons, you will enjoy entertaining events during your stay in Provence.

One of the most exciting time of the week is probably your cooking lesson at Restaurant La Mirande **** in Avignon. The location is a fantastic building - a real historical monument. More than a renowned place for the amateurs of fine food, it is also a very special atmosphere and an enchanting harmony of colours and scents...

Let's not say more about it, except that you will enjoy a half day cooking and creating the most delicious flavours with a renowned chef unveiling his deepest secrets for your own pleasure. Your efforts will then be rewarded with a nice lunch meal in the restaurant (your own cooking!!) and more relaxing time if you want, in one of the many salons of this hotel particulier.

Another interesting part of the week, most valued by our course participants, is the wine tasting session. As you probably know, Provence is a privileged region as far as good wine is concerned. And names such as Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Côtes-du-Rhône must be more than familiar to you.

Discover a world of flavours and learn to appreciate good wine in a friendly atmosphere. No doubt you will be surprised by your senses... This comprehensive insight into the local wine culture is usually followed by a nice lunch meal with Provencal dishes and ... good wines, of course.

Depending on your free time between lessons, we can also take you to various places, ranging from the local golf club where you'll be able to relax outdoors, to a visit round the beautiful villages of Provence.

Another attraction in the area is the village of L'Isle-sur-Sorgue, famous worldwide for its numerous antique shops and its markets along the Sorgue river.

There are other towns like Arles or Nîmes that you might want to visit. Again, such visits depend on your availabilities. Note that according to the time of the year, we will take you to special events highlighting the local culture and showing various aspects of life in Provence.

Finally, be aware that we can arrange other activities that you might suggest or that we would find entertaining for you, such as canoeing in the summer!!
